Pilates for Pelvic Floor Strength in Arlington, MA

Pelvic floor issues are far more common than most women are told, and they respond remarkably well to focused, individualized work — whether or not you've ever been pregnant.

Pelvic Floor Work Beyond Postnatal Recovery

Leaking when you cough or run, heaviness or pressure, pain, or a core that never quite feels stable — these can appear years after childbirth, or with no pregnancy at all. Perimenopause, high-impact sport, chronic coughing, and long periods of sitting all affect the pelvic floor.

How I Work

This work draws on my Pilates training and a dedicated pelvic floor module in my yoga therapy certification. We start by understanding how you actually breathe and how your deep core responds, because the pelvic floor works as part of that system rather than in isolation. Sessions use mat work, props, and studio equipment, and you leave with a practice you can do at home.

If you're in the months after a birth, see also postnatal Pilates and pelvic floor recovery.
