Yoga Therapy for Long Covid in Arlington, MA
Long Covid recovery doesn't follow the usual rules — pushing through makes it worse — and yoga therapy offers something most exercise programs can't: a practice built to stay inside your limits while slowly widening them.
Symptoms I Work With
Balance problems and dizziness, brain fog and difficulty concentrating, fatigue and post-exertional malaise, breathlessness and dysfunctional breathing patterns, palpitations and dysautonomia (including POTS), disrupted sleep, and the anxiety that often accompanies a long recovery.
Pacing, Not Pushing
If you experience post-exertional malaise, conventional progressive exercise can set you back for days or weeks. We work well below that threshold, with breath retraining, gentle positional work, and very gradual increases only when your body signals it's ready.
Balance and Vestibular Work
Balance work after Covid, as I practice it, is neurological rather than purely muscular — cross-body neurological integration and proprioceptive retraining, combined with breath and pranic awareness, to reorganize how the brain sequences movement. It's slow, precise work, and the results can be striking.
Meditation and Yoga Nidra
Sessions also draw on meditation and yoga nidra. I'll explain how yoga nidra works on the nervous system and point you to selected recordings you can use at home between sessions.
